Give Our All

St Paul went on an amazing journey of faith throughout his life, giving everything to Jesus until the very end. In the daily prayers, children will pray that we too, like Paul, would give our all to Jesus as we live in faith each day, and love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength.

Nourish Us

By focusing on one of Jesus’ ‘I am’ statements, this week’s prayers remind children that God nourishes the spiritual hunger of our hearts. Just as Jesus meets our needs through His personal presence, children will reflect on how they can nourish others by sharing God’s love.

Fellowship of Love

Just like the communion of love shared in the Holy Trinity, St Paul reminds us to share God’s love through our fellowship with others. This week’s prayers explore how we can build loving communities, with our family and friends, and in our school and parish.

Everything for the Glory of God

These daily prayers invite children to glorify the Lord with their thanks and praise. Through a daily Examen, children are encouraged to reflect on their day, realising what God has done for them, what they have done for God and rejoice in God’s love for us all.

Acts of Kindness

The two disciples on the road to Emmaus experienced comfort from ‘a stranger’ who walked with them in their time of sorrow and confusion. Later, it was revealed that the secret stranger was in fact, Jesus. These prayers invite children to offer acts of kindness to others by walking with them, giving help and encouragement.

Peace Be With You

This week’s Sunday Gospel tells of Jesus appearing twice to His disciples. On the second occasion, Thomas was present and able to experience, see and believe. These daily prayers guide children through these Resurrection appearances with opportunities to pause, reflect and pray.

Confidence in God’s Compassion

Jesus saw the blind man in his need and was moved to heal him. These prayers invite children to be confident that Jesus sees everyone with the same compassion and love and that we, in turn, are called to show compassion to others. This is the fourth in our Lenten series of daily prayers, which invite children to walk along with Jesus, and grow in confidence as we learn to follow His example and let Him guide our lives.

Confidence in Who God Is

After Jesus revealed Himself as the Messiah, the Samaritan woman believed and she hurried to share her faith with her friends and neighbours. These prayers invite children to have confidence in who God is, and share their faith with others. This is the third in our Lenten series of daily prayers, which invite children to walk along with Jesus, and grow in confidence as we learn to follow His example and let Him guide our lives.

Confidence in God’s Plans

At Jesus’ Transfiguration, Moses and Elijah appeared beside Him, revealing Jesus as the fulfilment of God’s plans for His people. These prayers invite children to have confidence in God’s plans for their lives. This is the second in our Lenten series of daily prayers, which invite children to walk along with Jesus, and grow in confidence as we learn to follow His example and let Him guide our lives.

Confidence in God’s Word

Jesus found strength to resist temptation by remembering God’s Word in the Scriptures. These prayers invite children to turn to the Scriptures and experience strength and confidence to choose God’s way. Faithful Followers

Looking at some of the faithful followers before us, children will be inspired to be faithful followers of Jesus too. The daily prayers this week focus on a different saint each day. Children are invited to thank God for their example and boast in the Lord for all He has done for us!

Light Up Our Lives

In these prayers, children will reflect on why, like the first disciples, we should follow Jesus, the Light of the World who lights up our lives! Through the light of Jesus and the intercession of the saints, children will see the truth of God’s love for them.

Just as John the Baptist was a witness to Jesus, these prayers encourage children to be witnesses by seeing the world through Jesus’ loving eyes. Using ‘Visio Divina’ prayers, each day children will focus on a picture to help them prayerfully consider how they can be Jesus’ witnesses through their words and actions.
