The Feast of St Joseph the Worker
On 1 May, we celebrate the second Feast Day for St Joseph, which focuses on his inspiring qualities as a worker. This is especially important this year, as Pope Francis has proclaimed this year ‘The Year of Joseph’.
This special prayer helps us to understand what ‘work’ is and why it is important, including Pope Francis’s explanation that when we work, whether for money or not, we are working with God Himself and ‘in some way become creators of the world around us’!
